Round 3 of the Cotswold League Series

With a severely depleted squad from which to select, Wells Swimming Club did well to score 112 points in Round 3 of the Cotswold League Series held at Easton and against North Bristol and Bristol Henleaze.


There were fantastic performances resulting in first places in the boy’s 15&U 50m back (Robert Passmore), the men’s open 100m breaststroke (Matt Lewis), the boys 13&U medley team of Cameron Taylor, Thomas Maitland Smith, Declan Truan-Thatcher and James Hoddinott, the girl’s open 100m free (Eloise Yeadon Caiger), the boy’s 11&U 25m breaststroke (Lachlan Taylor) and the boys 13&U 50m back (Cameron Taylor).

Valuable second places were achieved in the girl’s 15&U Individual Medley (Katie Chambers), the men’s open IM (Matt Lewis), the girls 11&U 25m free (Bliss Sumbler), the boys 13&U 50m breast (Cameron Taylor), the girls 15&U 50m back (Katie Chambers), the girls open 100m fly (Eloise Yeadon Caiger), the mens open 100m fly (Marcus Williams), the boys 11&U medley relay (Max Banwell, Lachlan Taylor, Jack Freeman and Theo Truan-Thatcher), the boys 13&U freestyle relay (Declan Truan-Thatcher, Thomas Maitland Smith, James Hoddinott and Cameron Taylor), the girls 15&u 50m breast (Katie Chambers), in both the girls and boys 11&u 25m fly (Asta Maddox/Jack Freeman), the mens open freestyle relay (Matt Lewis, Richard Thatcher, Alex Williams and Marcus Williams), the girls 11&U 25m back (Evelyn Wigley), both the girls and boys 13&U 50m fly (Asta Maddox/Declan Truan-Thatcher), the boys 15&U 50m free (Cameron Taylor), girls open 100m breast (Katie Chambers), boys 15&U 50m fly (Declan Truan-Thatcher) and the boys 15&U freestyle relay (Max Gittens, Robert Passmore, Declan Truan-Thatcher and Cameron Taylor)

Robert Passmore, in great form at the moment, was given a Speeding Ticket for swimming too-fast in the 50m breast.


Also making good contributions towards Well’s point’s total were Katrina Percival, Lizzie Chambers, Layla Matthews, Daisy Pruden, Xanthe Knott, Izara Hole and Sarah Purdie.
