Wells Swimming Club at South West Regional Biathlon Championships

Several members of Wells Swimming Club took part in the final of the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships held at the National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace London.

 

Evelyn Wrigley had a fantastic 800m run, despite battling against wind and snow in sub-zero temperatures, and finished in a time of 3:01:93. With her 50m swim time of 41.28 she earned 1817 points and finished 106th in the U12s.

 

Theo Truan-Thatcher’s strong swim, a four second Long Course PB, earned him an excellent 1072 points. Due to the weather conditions his qualifying run time of 3:13:00 was used to calculate his overall points total of 1877 and 82nd place in the U11s.

 

Other Wells swimmers who competed in the event for The Blue School Wells were Declan Truan-Thatcher, Emma Healey and Eloise Yeadon Caiger.
