Wells Begin a New Era

Monday 12 November 2018 saw a change in personnel at the top at Wells swimming Club. After Eli Myers left the club after nearly 3 years; Club Chairman (Duncan Vérel) was very excited to introduce his replacement as Head Coach.

Miles Denyer took his first training session at Wells Cathedral School and immediately looked at home. The swimmers were certainly engaged in a testing session. Miles has previously coached at Mid Sussex Marlins and Worthing Swimming Club and brings with him a host of experience.

Duncan said, “Miles, was very engaging through the interviewing process. He brings with him, great experience and knowledge, not just from swimming. I am sure he will be the person to drive this club forward to a very exciting future.”

Miles himself said, “I am really pleased to get the opportunity to be able to set my mark on a club that has ability to grow.”
